The Conisbrough & District Modelling Association was founded in 1985 by a small band of local boat modellers who met in the Conisbrough Library. The club was constituted as a general modelling club to be known as the Conisbrough and District Modelling Association(CADMA).
We are a constituted as a general modelling club but our core activity is model boats. We sail on the lake at the Lakeside area of Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Our main sailing times are on a Sunday afternoon from about 12.30 pm and on a Wednesday from about 12.30 pm. You can find us near the fountain lake area off Lakeside Boulevard, between the Lakeside shopping centre and Dome leisure complex.
We are licensed by the local authority to use the lake between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm every day except Thursday. People of all ages come to sail, our club is not just about sailing, it’s about getting together and having fun.
Our varied programme of events include club 500 racing and yacht racing. We support public functions and charities and also visit other club venues to display our boats and support fellow modellers. Members of the club share in the mutual interest and friendship of others. Skills are passed on and help and advice is always freely available. Being a member of CADMA has many benefits including being able to sail your model boat legally and safely.
